Bowl - oak

Bowl made from an offcut of an oak sleeper. Approx 180mm diameter.

This is reclaimed wood which was not considered high enough quality to use commercially. During the turning process it exploded due to flaws in the wood and had to be repaired before I could finish turning it. I believe in being honest about the flaws, they give character to the piece, so some of the repair has been deliberately left visible.
